The Pharmacy First Service will launch on 31st January 2024. Under this new advanced service, pharmacists will be able to provide advice and treatment for seven common conditions including sinusitis, sore throat, acute otitis media, infected insect bite, impetigo, shingles and uncomplicated urinary tract infections in women.

The Pharmacy Contraception Service is an advanced service that started on 24th April 2023, allowing the on-going supply of oral contraception from community pharmacies.
From 1st December 2023, the service included both initiation and on-going supply of Oral contraception.
