Pharmacy team members can subscribe to alerts about EPS and other services, through the NHS Digital service status pages (HSCN nww link requiring the pharmacy PMR terminal).
If you are unable to access Health and Social Care Network (HSCN) webpage above then you may complete this form and submit it to register for alerts.
NHS Digital will send alerts when the national system is unavailable or impacted and will later send a further message once normal service has resumed. This could advise you about the status of EPS, Spine, NHSmail and other NHS IT.
Your system supplier should also advise you if there is an issue which has an impact limited to users of their system.
Feeding back about the alert communications
Pharmacy team members can also complete surveys if they wish to help influence how future communications about IT incidents could be improved:
Survey 1 (eight to 10 minutes completion time): the sign-up process, and type of communication wanted.
Survey 2 (four minutes completion time) the Service Status page & App usage.
