Enfield Stands Together is a community outreach programme, whereby Enfield Council is working with volunteers and firefighters to deliver prescriptions on behalf of those who are self-isolating. They have received over 2000 requests from residents asking for help with collecting prescriptions (courtesy of www.new.enfield.gov.uk)

The LPC has liaised with Enfield Voluntary Action to organise the collection service, where volunteers visit the 57 pharmacies across Enfield twice a day. This ensures prescriptions are delivered as soon as possible with all social distancing measures in place.

Chair of Barnet Enfield and Haringey Local Pharmaceutical Committee, Gerald Alexander, said:
“I have heard some wonderful reports from pharmacist colleagues across Enfield who are delighted with the way the Enfield Volunteers have stepped up to help deliver medicines to the homes of vulnerable patients and those self isolating. We are grateful to Council Officers for running the complex operation across the borough. Everyone is doing sterling work, and patients can be less worried about running short of their medicines.”

The LPC would like to thank the Enfield Stands Together programme for all their help during the crisis.
