Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has issued a medicine supply notification for Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal®) 300mg and 600mg tablets.

Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal®) 300mg tablets will be out of stock from late June 2023 until mid-July 2023.
Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal®) 600mg tablets are out of stock until mid-July 2023.
Generic oxcarbazepine 300mg and 600mg tablets remain available and will be able to support increased demand.
Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal®) 150mg tablets and generic oxcarbazepine 150mg tablets remain available but cannot support the increase in demand.
Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal®) 60mg/ml oral suspension remains available but cannot meet an increase in demand.
A copy of this medicine supply notification, including further information for pharmacy teams, has been sent to all pharmacy NHS email addresses.
DHSC and NHSE/I have now launched an online Medicines Supply Tool, which provides up to date information about medicine supply issues. The contents of these MSNs can now be viewed on the Tool.
The Tool also details any changes to resupply dates and updates to the entries.
To access the Tool you will need an NHS email address. Once set up and logged in, you will be able to access it online.
